Emilia Galotti’s Colouring-Book of Feelings

in collaboration with Sophie Seita

Project description: A visual translation; creation of sculpture, photographs, props, puppets, set design, slides, live slide projector performance, digital video, and and projections by Simone Kearney for installations & performances of writer/artist Sophie Seita's play, "Emilia Galotti's Colouring Book of Feelings". This body of work was made for, and in response to, Seita’s text, so that the sculptures, projections, and imagery/objects/visuals serve as both live and static “translation” of Seita play (itself a queer feminist re-writing and re-reading of enlightenment texts), and are used and interacted with during the performances of Seita’s play.
