Simone Kearney is a poet and visual artist.
Kearney received an MFA in Creative Writing from Hunter College and a BA in English and Philosophy from Boston College. Her artwork has been exhibited in New York, Boston, and Ireland. In 2013, she was artist-in-residence at both the Josef Albers Foundation, Connecticut, and the Ragdale Foundation, Illinois.
Her work has appeared in Boston Review, Stonecutter, Bridge Journal, Belladonna, Ragazine, Post Road Magazine, Maggy, and Supermachine, among others. Kearney’s poetry chapbook In Threes was published by MinuteBooks in 2013. She was recipient of a 2010 Amy Award from Poets & Writers.
She currently teaches at Pace University and Ramapo College, and writes for Thierry Goldberg Projects Gallery. Born in Dublin, she lives in Brooklyn.
